Fables Coffeehouse & Cake Bar (Edwinstowe) – On the Edwinstowe High Street. A great place for afternoon tea. Homemade cakes with locally grown and sourced ingredients.
Balsamic Bistro (Edwinstowe) – Tapas and fully licensed bistro with an international menu.
Smoke and Ice (Edwinstowe) – Something a bit different. A contemporary fast, casual dining restaurant on Edwinstowe High Street serving ‘smokey eats’ and ‘cool treats’.
Royal Oak Pub (Edwinstowe) – A characterful local pub in the middle of Edwinstowe. Great pub food and a good place for a relaxed family meal.
Forest Lodge (Edwinstowe) – Next to Launays. Another excellent restaurant and bar. Relaxed atmosphere with oak beams and a nice homely feel. Traditional pub menu.

(Edwinstowe) – 16th-century cottage and orangery with contemporary decor serving a creative Anglo-French menu. One of the areas more upmarket restaurants.
The Alders Pub and Carvery
(Ollerton) – Very reasonably priced and family friendly. A good place to go if you want somewhere the children can play. There is also some extensive heathland beside it which is a useful if you need somewhere to walk the dogs.
Dominoes (New Ollerton)
– Good old Dominoes Pizzas. They do delivery but there will be a charge for delivery to Blooms Gorse Cottage.*
Winner City (Farnsfield)
– A Chinese restaurant and takeaway which has an excellent reputation and has had for many years. Prices have gone up recently but the food is excellent. They do delivery.*

Clipstone) – A great local Indian take-away in Clipstone. They do delivery.*
Thaymar Ice Cream
(Gamston) – Tea room on a dairy farm serving homemade ice cream. There is also a farm shop.
The Apron (Gamston) – The Apron Restaurant is about 30 mins drive from Blooms Gorse Cottage but makes for an interesting afternoon out. Excellent food served in an airy modern restaurant looking out across the airfield with small aircraft coming and going all day long.
