House rules
The full bookings conditions can be read here but below is a summary of the main house rules.
- Check-in: 4pm.
- Check-out: 11am
- Dogs: Dogs are welcome. The usual rules apply – we ask that dog’s muddy/wet feet be dried before coming into the cottage and that shedding dogs are not to be allowed in bedrooms. Any dog mess should be cleaned up.
- Smoking: No smoking inside the cottage.
- Noise: Although the cottage is in a secluded spot in the forest, we do have to consider the nearby farmer and other nearby forest users and ask that guests keep the noise to a level that will not disturb anyone outside the boundary of the property.
- No parties: Open invite events are strictly not allowed at the property. 12 is the maximum number of guests allowed to stay at the house overnight. We do not cater for hen or stag parties.
- Third parties: If you plan to arrange for a third party to provide services at the cottage during your stay (e.g. a home chef), you must let us know prior to the start of your stay. It is unlikely we will withhold permission provided you make prior arrangements with us.
- Fire pit: The fire pit must only be used in the location you find it when you arrive. We reserve the right to take the fire pit out of use when there is a heightened risk of fire in the forest owing to dry weather.
- Fireworks: Fireworks are not permitted.
