How to Find Us
Blooms Gorse Cottage is quite ‘off the beaten track’ so here are some directions. If you use the what3words app, the what3words address is ///manual.signed.neutron. If you arrange for any deliveries to the cottage during your stay we would recommend passing this on to them as well otherwise drivers can have difficulty finding us, even if they have the postcode.
To get to the cottage head to Sherwood Forest Centre Parcs (NG22 9DN). You will most likely come in on the A614. Turn off the A614 onto the B6034 at The Rose Cottage pub and after 200 yards you will come to the Centre Parcs entrance on your left.
Turn into the Centre Parcs entrance and follow the Centre Parcs drive through the forest for about half a mile until you come to a sharp right hand bend followed after 50 yards by a sharp left.
At the left hand turn you will see a track going straight on with ‘no entrance’ signs (the ‘no entrance’ signs are to stop visitors to Centre Parcs going the wrong way). At this left hand turn, turn off the Centre Parcs drive onto the track with the no entrance signs.
Follow the track for 1 mile. After a mile the track bends sharply to the left and goes up a slope. Keep following the track for another half mile. You will basically be following the Centre Parcs perimeter fence all the way on your left hand side.
After half a mile, the Centre Parcs fence ends at a mobile phone mast set back off the track on the left (if you come out of the forest with a farm on the right hand side you have gone too far and need to go back 100 yards).
Opposite the mobile phone mast, to your right, you will see another track going into the forest with a small ‘private property’ sign. Go 100 yards up that track and you will arrive at the cottage.
